The only markings on this is "M4" I am very curious about it's age, origin and use. COURTNEY SAYS: Hello, I found this washed up on a beach along the intracoastal waterway today near the NC/SC border . The green stone/resin is like an eyeball with an iris and pupil. the small one is 5'8 centimeters in lenth and 3'5 in width. There is a star on each corner with a line between each star. If anyone could give me any information about this piece it would be greatly appreciated.
The base of the piece is either silver or silver plate with a brass colored crown and a V and E intertwined. There have been a great many native American artifacts found on block Island, particularly near the beaches.
I bought it to wear on a jacket pocket but want to have more information about it before I do. Archeological excavations and testing done for the potential wing farm found over 2,000 artifacts.
